May Máchov pilgrimage through Kokořín from Liběchov to Pustý zámek and further through Olešno and Houska to Bezděz

May 2-4, 2014

“Future time? –Tomorrow?! –What beyond it, is it a mere dream, or is sleep without dreaming? Perhaps sleep is also the life I live now; and tomorrow will change it into another dream? Or what I longed for here, and what the wide earth did not have, tomorrow will reveal to me? Who knows? –Oh, no one knows.”

Karel Hynek MÁCHA

As every year, this year, with our "little Máchov pilgrimage", we will celebrate the May time of blooming spring and love and pay tribute to Karel Hynek Mách and the landscape he loved so much. Kokořínsko and Podbezdězí. This time we have chosen a route (46 km) that will lead from Liběchov via Tupadly to Pustý zámek and from there eastwards via Střezivojice to Olešno and then along the well-known path to Houska and from there via Bořejov and Okna to Bezděz. You can travel with us at your own discretion: either complete the entire route or join us anywhere during the journey. Those interested in the journey are asked to contact us by email or phone using the contacts listed on the last page of the invitation.

“Above the dark mountains, a rosy May day rises, awakening the down, over the forests still round and round – light as fog – a dream wanders.”
