An example from the upcoming collection of Lu\u010fek \u010cert\u00edk's The Last Wild Embrace. * the parrots were on edge since morning; they knew that a strong storm and storm would come from the coast, that is wind and rain, that is lightning and thunder and sometimes hail and falling branches, trees and something more, always something more that cannot be put into words; they knew that in the eyes of the storm it does not matter how many colors they give to the world; they knew that the storm sees all colors the same, equally expressionless *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
I turn in the direction of beauty I turn in the direction of healing What I see is the sun: rivers, rocks, plateaus on rocks Sun after sun after sun after sun What I see are flocks of starlings in the fields The shadow of the earth in the clouds Rain on the mountains What I see is what I give thanks To this I lift my heart my heart my heart my heart *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

Do you remember how the nightly singing of the forest larks woke us from our sleep? As if colorful fireworks were exploding above the forest, but all that reached your ears was music; in the morning we stared at each other like witnesses of the ascension, like returnees from distant journeys *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
I am awakened from my sleep by the screams of fighting cats, I listen intently; an unseen animal \u2013 a weasel? a marten? \u2013 rustles in the grass under the rosehip; a picket fence is creeping under; loose stones bounce off the garden wall behind the village, dogs bark (one, two, three\u2026) when I fall asleep again, I see a huge wolf in my dream; he looks into my eyes, his size scares me; he is scared by how much we have become estranged from each other *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
A silent green pain grips the forests;\nI used to go mushroom picking here.<\/em>, you say; the sun is baking the blackberries; someone has leaned a garbage bag against a tree *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
The world never disappears below the horizon, not really, not entirely; there is always a small piece left: a songbird feather, a cuttlefish bone, a fragment of an obsidian dagger at the bottom of a lake; something to which we can relate when our own lives become transparent *<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
nothing was more real than the fluffy seeds of poplars and willows piled up by the roadside like summer snow; than the forest ants in the wooden station shed, reeking of human urine; than dust and sun, nettles and bare roots; the swirling of flies above the hooves of ruminating cows; than cinders and gravel and the earth we trod lightly on:\nmainly, to keep the world moving, to keep it alive!<\/em>\n\n\n*<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
