I was inspired to create its route by the proposal of the first ever transitional hiking trail through the Ore Mountains (&quot;Kru\u0161nohorsk\u00fd kw\u00e9runk&quot;), created by the wanderer Mark\u00e9ta Dobe\u0161ov\u00e1. The path offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the unique nature of the Ore Mountains, but also with the eventful history of the Czech border region, which reflects our dramatic history. Our journey goes beyond the borders of the Ore Mountains and leads through the Tisk\u00e9 st\u011bny and D\u011b\u010d\u00ednsk\u00fd Sn\u011b\u017en\u00edk to D\u011b\u010d\u00edn. You can join us anywhere and go with us for as long as you want. Everyone is responsible for themselves. We sleep outside under the open sky. Bring a sleeping bag and sleeping mat, or possibly a tarpaulin or tent. \u2014 (JZ)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote tw-mb-8 is-style-tw-minimal is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Greetings to the Lord, you Ore Mountains,<br>My songs sound again in my mind;<br>Deep in the forests, in mysterious pools,<br>The meadows around are full of beauty.<br>Greetings, God, my Ore Mountains,<br>Greetings, God, where I gladly return,<br>The forests rustle and speak mysteriously,<br>The stream is bubbling, the waterfall is sounding.<\/p><cite>Anton Gunther<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First day on Sunday, August 8th (17 km)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Nov\u00e9 Hamry \/ Horn\u00ed Blatn\u00e1 \/ Mauritius \/ Slatyny: <\/strong><\/strong>We will set off on our hike from Nov\u00e9 Hamry from Hotel Seifert at 12 noon. We will follow the yellow and then the green tourist trail under<em> Fox Mountain<\/em> up to <em>Horni Blatne<\/em>. From here we go <em>Along the Anton G\u00fcnther Trail <\/em>\u2013the famous German Ore Mountains singer-songwriter, poet and lover of the Ore Mountains \u2013 on <em>Wolf Pits<\/em> and <em>Ice pits<\/em>, which are significant remains of tin mining in the Ore Mountains, and further on <em>Blatensky Hill <\/em>(1043 m) with a lookout tower. We will continue along the G\u00fcnther trail and visit <em>The red pit<\/em>, the largest ever depression after mining activities in our country, <em>Stallion <\/em>and mine <em>Mauritius<\/em>s, registered on the list of national cultural monuments, and we will reach Slatin\u00e9,<em> To the dead pond<\/em>, which was built in the 16th century for mining purposes. The aforementioned singer-songwriter Anton G\u00fcnther (1876-1937) was born here - we will visit his monument and his birthplace. From Bo\u017e\u00ed dar we will ascend to <em>Klinovec<\/em> (1244 m), the highest mountain in the Ore Mountains, and from there we will follow the red trail across <em>Meadow <\/em>at the crossroads below <em>Melusine <\/em>(1097 m) and then below <em>The Mountain of Crosses <\/em>(1025 m) to the M\u011bd\u011bneck\u00e1 road; along it we reach <em>Upper Halze<\/em>where we spend the night near the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"http:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mednik-reprofoto-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"M\u011bdn\u00edk (reprofoto)\" class=\"wp-image-7509\" srcset=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mednik-reprofoto-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mednik-reprofoto-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mednik-reprofoto-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mednik-reprofoto.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Copper (reprophoto)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Third day on Tuesday, August 10 (24 km)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Horn\u00ed Hal\u017ee \/ M\u011bdn\u00edk \/ P\u0159\u00edse\u010dnice \/ Jelen\u00ed Hora, St. Sebastian&#039;s Mountain:<\/strong> <\/strong>FROM <em>Upper Halze<\/em> we are going to <em>Vermilion <\/em>(once important for copper mining, but also iron and silver) and to a beautiful hill <em>Coppersmith<\/em> (900 m) with chapel <em>The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.<\/em> We will visit here <em>the promised land tunnel,<\/em> significant mining work. We will continue along the red trail to the largest dam in the Ore Mountains <em>Intersections<\/em>, which was created on the site of a former mining village; from there, at the crossroads with V\u00fdslu\u0148sk\u00e1 cesta and following the yellow path to the summit<em> Deer Mountains<\/em> (994 m), from where there is one of the most beautiful views of the Ore Mountains; the basalt massif of the mountain is covered with beech forests. From Medv\u011bd\u00ed waterfalls we will go to <em>Hadinec<\/em> (815 m) and along the red marked path along <em>Novodomsk\u00e9 peat bogs<\/em>, the largest bogs of the Ore Mountains, to&nbsp;<em>To the new one <\/em>and <em>To the old pond<\/em>; from the Old Pond we follow the yellow path to the village<em> Calc <\/em>(with the beautiful church of St. Wenceslas<em>),<\/em> where iron ore was previously processed. From there we will continue along the same nature trail to <em>Lou\u010densk\u00e1 hornatina nature park <\/em>to<em> Black Pond Nature Reserve <\/em>and further over the hills <em>Colorful <\/em>(875 m) and <em>Deer head<\/em> (874 m)<em>.<\/em> For<em> By the trout stream<\/em> then we turn right onto the path that leads vertically up to the top<em> Bradacov <\/em>(876 m), where there is an interesting hunting ground <em>Lichtenwald Castle<\/em> from the 18th century, which included a hunting reserve. On the wooded slopes of the hill we can observe the stages of forest regeneration after the ecological disaster. From Brad\u00e1\u010dov we descend to <em>\u010cesk\u00fd Ji\u0159et\u00edn,<\/em> founded in the 16th century by woodcutters who made their living by floating wood on the Fl\u00e1je Canal. We will visit the wooden church of St. John the Baptist, the only all-wooden church in our country, which originally stood in the village of Fl\u00e1je, now flooded by the Fl\u00e1je Reservoir (the only pillar dam in the Czech Republic). From here we will continue to the site of a defunct shepherd&#039;s village <em>Pastures<\/em> and on to<em> Moldovans <\/em>with the beautiful Baroque Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. In the past, silver was mined in Moldava and there are remains of medieval glassworks here. This landscape has an amazing charm. We continue along the yellow path to the upper part of the village and from there, at the crossroads under <em>By the glass stream<\/em>where we turn red and go around <em>C\u00ednoveck\u00fd peat bog<\/em> up to <em>Tinplate;<\/em> Tin, silver and tungsten have been mined here since the Middle Ages. From C\u00ednovec we will continue along the border educational mining trail, which will take us to<em> The Transylvanian Way and<\/em> on <em>The Sedmihorsk\u00e1 viewpoint <\/em>and we will end our journey at <em>Mosquito bites <\/em>(808 m) with a lookout tower<em> Mosquito net<\/em>, which is the oldest lookout tower in the Ore Mountains<em>. <\/em>Kom\u00e1\u0159\u00ed h\u016frka is interesting for its steep elevation above the surrounding terrain, which is why there is a unique view of the Teplice region, the \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem region and the Bohemian Central Mountains, which was admired by the famous German traveler Alexander von Humboldt and the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe. In history, an important country trail ran here. From Nakl\u00e9\u0159ov we will continue along the blue trail across the D8 highway to <em>Upper Libouchec<\/em>, where after about 2.5km we turn left on an unmarked path and walk along the edge of the forest and the hill <em>In the Pastures<\/em>, where the military training area is located, up to <em>New Libouchec;<\/em> here we enter the Labsk\u00e9 p\u00edskovce Protected Landscape Area and reach the <em>Quietly<\/em>.
