From Lib\u011bchov via Ov\u010d\u00e1ck\u00fd vrch to Houska, from there via Duba to Vlho\u0161\u0165 and further via Helfenburk, Kalv\u00e1ria, \u00da\u0161t\u011bk and Sedlo to Litom\u011b\u0159ice to Radob\u00fdl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this year's small M\u00e1chov pilgrimage, we will again connect, as last year, two key places of the poet Karel Hynek M\u00e1cha's work - the pensive, magical landscape of the rocky labyrinths of eastern Koko\u0159\u00ednsko (Lib\u011bchov-Houska) and western Koko\u0159\u00ednsko (Vlho\u0161\u0165) with the open landscape of the lonely rocky peaks of the western part of the \u010cesk\u00e9 st\u0159edoho\u0159\u00ed Mountains. M\u00e1cha went to Koko\u0159\u00ednsko in 1831 and his poetic work is connected with it (Cigs, May); he was drawn to the landscape of the \u010cesk\u00e9 st\u0159edoho\u0159\u00ed Mountains at the end of his life and tragically ended his life here in Litom\u011b\u0159ice in 1836. In the Koko\u0159\u00edn part of the pilgrimage, on the first day we will walk the section from Kr\u00e1lovstv\u00ed to Vidimi and further through St\u0159ezivojick\u00e9 and Dob\u0159e\u0148sk\u00e9 dol to Ov\u010d\u00e1ck\u00e9 vrch. On the third day we will visit the remarkable Baroque Calvary behind Helfenburk Castle with a beautiful view of \u00da\u0161t\u011bk and the extraordinary Sedlo mountain. The route from \u00da\u0161t\u011bk to Sedlo and from there via Kalich, Trojhora and Dlouh\u00fd vrch to Litom\u011b\u0159ice is very nice. The photos in the invitation are from our trip last year. If you can't go on the entire journey (92 km), you can walk any part of it with us, or you can join us anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n

Friday 28. 4.: Lib\u011bchov \u2013 Ma\u0159\u00ed Magdal\u00e9na \u2013 Star\u00fd z\u00e1mek \u2013 Vidim \u2013 Dob\u0159e\u0148 \u2013 Houska (24 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will meet in Lib\u011bchov at N\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed V\u00e1clava Lev\u00e9ho by the castle, from where we will set off at 8 a.m. We will follow the blue tourist trail to the rock sculptures in the Nad Hubenovem forest \u2013 Caves of Mary Magdalene, Harfenice and Had<\/em> \u2013 which are attributed to the sculptor V\u00e1clav Lev\u00fd. From here we will descend to Stupid<\/em> and we will continue past the neo-Romanesque chateau Slavin<\/em> following the green tourist trail to Kingdom<\/em>. Here at the intersection we turn right following the blue sign and around Old castle<\/em> we will head to the settlement of Vidim; here we will descend along the green path to St\u0159ezivojick\u00fd mine<\/em> and we will reach the village of Dob\u0159e\u0148. From Dob\u0159e\u0148 we will continue along the road towards St\u0159ezivojice and after about half a kilometer we will turn off following the blue sign to Dob\u0159e\u0148sk\u00fd mine<\/em>, which we will pass through to the crossroads below Ov\u010d\u00e1ck\u00fd hill<\/em>; here we turn onto the green road, which will lead us to Konr\u00e1dov. From there we will continue through Petrified Castle<\/em> at a crossroads Under Druclik<\/em> and then follow the red trail along the well-known path to Houska. Along the way we will visit Lu\u0148\u00e1k's Chapel<\/em>, we will enjoy the view of Bezd\u011bz and refresh our tired bodies in the Na konci sil pub. We will visit the beech forest above the Housc Castle and, if the night is clear, we will observe the stars. We will sleep under the \u015ar\u00edk or in the Hostince pod Houskou and talk about Navajo spiritual ecology<\/strong>.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Saturday 29.4.: Houska \u2013 Bo\u0159ejov \u2013 Velk\u00fd Be\u0161kovsk\u00fd vrch \u2013 Dub\u00e1 \u2013 Vlho\u0161\u0165 (22 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next day we will set off from Houska along the blue tourist trail to the crossroads at Smrkov\u00fd h\u0159eben and from there along the yellow trail to Bo\u0159ejov to the Baroque church of St. James the Greater with a modern altarpiece of the pilgrim St. James by Ale\u0161 Krej\u010d. From Bo\u0159ejov, from where there is a beautiful view of Bezd\u011bz and Houska, we will set off to explore Bo\u0159ejovk\u00fd vrch (429 m above sea level) and then continue along the blue trail through Ko\u010di\u010d\u00ed h\u0159bety to Velk\u00fd Be\u0161kovsk\u00fd kopec (474 m above sea level). From there we will continue to Pansk\u00e1 Ves and through Nedamov to Dub\u00e1, where we will have lunch. After lunch we will set off along the blue trail to Dubov\u00e1 hora (397 m above sea level) and from there to Pavli\u010dky. From Pavli\u010dky we will follow the blue trail to a hill with the remains of a medieval rock castle Stork<\/em> (386 m above sea level) with the so-called With a \u010cap stick<\/em> \u2013 there is a beautiful view of the Velk\u00fd \u010capsk\u00fd dol from here. We will continue along the green path to the crossroads below the hill Goose<\/em> (448 m above sea level) and further to the Vlho\u0161\u0165sk\u00fd d\u016fl crossroads, from where we will follow the blue trail to Little Vlho\u0161\u0165<\/em> (440 m above sea level) at whose foot we spend the night.<\/p>\n\n\n

Sunday 30.4.: Vlho\u0161\u0165 \u2013 Helfenburk \u2013 Kalv\u00e1rie \u2013 \u00da\u0161t\u011bk \u2013 Sedlo (20 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the morning we will follow the yellow tourist trail Velky Vlho\u0161\u0165<\/em> (613 m above sea level), the highest peak of the Koko\u0159\u00ednsko Protected Landscape Area; this mighty neovolcanic massif is formed by a sinter and its slopes and summit are protected as a nature reserve - the peregrine falcon lives here. From Vlho\u0161t\u011b we will continue along the blue trail and then along the yellow trail through the village of Skalka to Hradek<\/em> with a remarkable monumental castle ruin Helfenburg<\/em>, which KH M\u00e1cha captured in two of his drawings. From Helfenburg we will follow the yellow path, but immediately below the castle we will turn through the forest across Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 Mine <\/em>to Ostr\u00fd, from where we climb the slope to a uniquely situated Baroque pilgrimage site on the hill Calvary<\/em>, which is attributed to the architect Octavi\u00e1n Broggio; there is a beautiful view of the \u00da\u0161t\u011bcko basin with the mighty mountain Seat<\/em> on the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n

From Kalvarija we descend to the ancient \u00da\u0161t\u011bk, which is a conservation area. We have lunch here and walk through this remarkable historical town. Then we follow the red and then the green trail to the beautifully shaped basalt hill. Seat<\/em> (726.5 m above sea level), which is the highest mountain in the eastern part of the Bohemian Central Mountains. We spend the night under its peak at the foot of the Mal\u00fd sedlo.<\/p>\n\n\n

Monday 1.5.: Sedlo \u2013 Kalich \u2013 Trojhra \u2013 B\u00edl\u00e9 str\u00e1n\u011b \u2013 Litom\u011b\u0159ice \u2013 Radob\u00fdl (26 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From Sedlo we will continue on the green route on the last day. Little Saddle<\/em> and the Judgement Stone<\/em> to an impressive hill Calyx<\/em> (535 m above sea level), where the ruins of one of Jan \u017di\u017eka's medieval castles are located. From Chalice<\/em> we will take the green path through Trojhoru<\/em>  (451 m above sea level) and from there over Sand Hill<\/em> to the ridge of Dlouh\u00fd vrch (655 m above sea level) to Skalica and from there on the red trail through White slopes<\/em> until Litom\u011b\u0159ice. We will pass through Litom\u011b\u0159ice and follow the yellow trail to the top Radobyl <\/em>(399 m above sea level), where we will end our journey. Here we will remember the life story of Karel Hynek M\u00e1cha and enjoy a unique view of the central panorama of the Bohemian Central Mountains with the dominants of Mile\u0161ovka and Klete\u010dn\u00e1. From Litom\u011b\u0159ice we will return to Prague by bus.<\/p>\n\n\n
