Wave after wave rushes down the stream. Every creature boils with love - in the time of love.&quot;\n<strong>\u2014<\/strong> Karel Hynek M\u00c1CHA (May)&nbsp;<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of this year&#039;s small M\u00e1chov journey, we will set off to several remarkable parts of the M\u00e1chov region that we have not visited yet. On the first day, we will first walk along the well-known Koko\u0159\u00ednsko route from Lib\u011bchov via Vid\u00edm to Housku. On the second day, via the Doksy recreation center (originally Hirschberg) by M\u00e1chov Lake, we will enter the beautiful wilderness hidden behind the backdrop of the Bezd\u011bz and M\u00e1chov Lake doubles - the B\u0159ehyn\u011b-Pecopala National Nature Reserve. It consists of the unique ecosystem of the B\u0159ehyn\u011b Pond, which is a nesting site for many birds (white-tailed eagles), and a sandstone plateau with the neovolcanic basalt peak of Pecopala (Pece), covered with pines and beech forests; we will walk through the Hrad\u010dany beech forest and the Hrad\u010dany walls with a number of small rock towns, overhangs and ravines (for example, a wolf was spotted here). The next day we will visit the Provod\u00ednsk\u00e9 stones with seven neovolcanic rocks with the dominant Lysa sk\u00e1la, we will descend to the Jest\u0159ebsk\u00e1 basin and walk along the edge of the unique national nature reserve Novoz\u00e1meck\u00fd rybn\u00edk, which is an important international ornithological site. We will pass through the villages of Zahr\u00e1dky and Holany and the system of beautiful Holansk\u00e9 rybn\u00edk ponds to Ko\u0148sk\u00fd rybn\u00edk. On the last day we will climb the basalt cone of Ronov with the castle, visit the Baroque Calvary at Ostr\u00e9 with a unique view of Sedlo and we will end our journey in \u00da\u0161t\u011bk. If you cannot go on the entire journey (90 km), you can walk any part of it with us, or you can join us anywhere. We do not provide accommodation in advance anywhere, except in Houska.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_2933-2B-25281-2529-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>At the chapel of Mary Magdalene in the forest above Hubenovem in 2016<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saturday 5. 5: Lib\u011bchov\u2013Ma\u0159\u00ed Magdal\u00e9na\u2013Star\u00fd z\u00e1mek\u2013Vidim\u2013Dob\u0159e\u0148\u2013Houska (24 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will meet in Lib\u011bchov at N\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed V\u00e1clava Lev\u00e9ho by the castle, from where we will set off at 8 a.m. (the bus from Prague to Lib\u011bchov arrives at 7:24 or 8:09 a.m.). We will follow the blue tourist trail to the rock sculptures in the Nad Hubenovem forest.&nbsp;<em>\u2013Mary Magdalene Cave<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Harp&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>Snake \u2013<\/em>, which are attributed to the sculptor V\u00e1clav Lev\u00fd. From here we will descend to&nbsp;<em>Stupid&nbsp;<\/em>and we will continue past the neo-Romanesque chateau&nbsp;<em>Slavin<\/em>&nbsp;following the green tourist trail to&nbsp;<em>Kingdom. From<\/em>at the crossroads, turn right following the blue sign to the settlement of Vidim; switch to the green sign and follow it to&nbsp;<em>St\u0159ezivojick\u00fd mine&nbsp;<\/em>and to the village&nbsp;<em>Good<\/em>From here we will continue along the green to&nbsp;<em>Dob\u0159ensk\u00fd mine<\/em>&nbsp;and through&nbsp;<em>Furrowed hill<\/em>&nbsp;up to<em>&nbsp;Konrad&#039;s<\/em>. Then we go through&nbsp;<em>Petrified Castle&nbsp;<\/em>at a crossroads<em>&nbsp;Under Druclik<\/em>, from which we will follow the red trail past the Lu\u0148\u00e1k Chapel on the well-known path to Houska. We will visit the beech forest above Houska Castle and, if the night is clear, we will observe the stars.<em>.<\/em>&nbsp;We will refresh our tired bodies in the Na konci sil pub. We will sleep under the open sky or in the Hostince pod Houskou. (<em>With reference to D. For those who have learned to hear its songs, the earth can soothe the restless heart, refresh the weary heart, soften the hardened heart, reorient the lost heart.&quot;\n<strong>\u2014<\/strong> Steve van MATRE (The Earth Speaks)<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunday 6. 5.: Houska\u2013Koreck\u00fd vrch<em>\u2013<\/em>Doxes<em>\u2013<\/em>B\u0159ehynsk\u00fd pond<em>\u2013<\/em>Pecopala\u2013Dog Church (25 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next day we will set off from Houska following the blue and then yellow tourist trail to<em>&nbsp;Borejova<\/em>&nbsp;to the Baroque church of St. James the Greater. From there we will continue to \u017dd\u00edrec and then follow the green trail to&nbsp;<em>Koreck\u00fd Hill<\/em>&nbsp;(465 m above sea level) and around&nbsp;<em>Zbynsky Hill<\/em>&nbsp;until Doksy near M\u00e1cha Lake. In Doksy we will visit the Memorial of Karel Hynek M\u00e1cha, who stayed here with his friend Eduard Hindl, and then we will follow the yellow trail, first to&nbsp;<em>King&#039;s chair<\/em>&nbsp;and then to&nbsp;<em>B\u0159ehyn\u011b-Pecopala National Nature Reserve<\/em>. The reserve is one of the most important wetlands in northern Bohemia; 164 bird species have been recorded here; the white-tailed eagle, the grey crane, and the great horned owl reside here. From the B\u0159ehy\u0148sk\u00fd pond we will walk&nbsp;<em>Mill Gorge<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>By cannon route<\/em>&nbsp;under the peak&nbsp;<em>Firecrackers&nbsp;<\/em>(<em>Care<\/em>, 451 m above sea level), a beautiful conical knot of Tertiary basalt. We will continue through the beech-pine forest of Hrad\u010dany beech forest to&nbsp;<em>Ash comb<\/em>&nbsp;and follow the blue sign to&nbsp;<em>Hrad\u010dany walls<\/em>from where we look to&nbsp;<em>Plou\u010dnice river valley<\/em>From there we follow the green trail to the rock formations.&nbsp;<em>Dog Church<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Rock Gate<\/em>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<em>Lishvy gorge<\/em>, where we spend the night. The Dog Church is one of our most interesting rock formations; it is an underground space created by the artificial extension of the original overhangs.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Psi-2Bkostel-2B2-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Dog Church, Hrad\u010dany Beech Trees<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Novozamecky-2Brybnik-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Novoz\u00e1meck\u00fd pond<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monday 7. 5.: Dog Church\u2013Lys\u00e1 sk\u00e1la\u2013Jest\u0159eb\u00ed<em>\u2013<\/em>Novoz\u00e1meck\u00fd pond\u2013Ko\u0148sk\u00fd pond (25 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning we will set off along the green trail under&nbsp;<em>Over a high hill<\/em>&nbsp;to the area of natural monuments<em>&nbsp;Provod\u00edn stones,&nbsp;<\/em>which is a group of seven neovolcanic peaks, the most prominent and well-known of which is&nbsp;<em>Bald Rock,&nbsp;<\/em>also called&nbsp;<em>Sleeping Mr.<\/em>&nbsp;(419 m above sea level). We climb Lys\u00e1 sk\u00e1la, from where there is a beautiful view of the entire area&nbsp;<em>Jestr\u0119be Basin<\/em>, which we will head to. We will continue along the green trail to Provod\u00edn and from there to<em>&nbsp;Jestrebi<\/em>&nbsp;to the national nature reserve&nbsp;<em>Novoz\u00e1meck\u00fd pond<\/em>, which was declared on an area of 357 ha to protect 220 species of birds. We will follow the red trail along the edge of the Novoz\u00e1meck\u00fd pond through&nbsp;<em>Long comb<\/em>&nbsp;up to the village<em>&nbsp;Gardens<\/em>where we will visit the settlement<em>&nbsp;Karba<\/em>; from here we will continue along the blue trail to<em>&nbsp;Dutch<\/em>From Holany we will follow the red trail through&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Holansk\u00e9 ponds<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 Holansk\u00fd, Mil\u010dansk\u00fd, Hr\u00e1zsk\u00fd, Dolansk\u00fd and Nebesk\u00fd \u2013 up to&nbsp;<em>Horse Pond<\/em>where at the foot of the rock&nbsp;<em>Grim Reaper<\/em>&nbsp;We are staying overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/1024px-Jestr-25CC-258Cebska-25CC-2581_kotlina_z_Ronova-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Holansk\u00e9 ponds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/potulnauniverzita.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Smrtka-2Bvyhlidka-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Death Rock above the Horse Pond<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;I couldn&#039;t sleep at night. I fell asleep to the singing of birds, which penetrated me muffledly under the surface, and woke up when they got tired for the first time that day, ...&quot;<\/p><cite>Milo\u0161 URBAN (Hastrman)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tuesday 8. 5.: Ko\u0148sk\u00fd rybn\u00edk\u2013Stvol\u00ednky\u2013Ronov\u2013Bl\u00ed\u017eevedly\u2013Ostr\u00e9\u2013Kalv\u00e1rie<em>\u2013<\/em>Ustek (16 km)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning we will walk around the Horse Pond following the red tourist trail to the village.&nbsp;<em>Stvol\u00ednky<\/em>, which is located on the border of the Ralsk\u00e1 pahorkatina and the \u010cesk\u00e9 st\u0159edoho\u0159\u00ed Mountains, the Koko\u0159\u00ednsko Protected Landscape Area and the \u010cesk\u00e9 st\u0159edoho\u0159\u00ed Protected Landscape Area. From here we will continue along the red trail to the top of the basalt cone&nbsp;<em>Ronov<\/em>&nbsp;(552 m above sea level) with the ruins of the Gothic castle of the same name.
